北京时间2008年8月18，在鸟巢举行的奥运女子蹦床决赛中，19岁的中国小将何雯娜以37.80分的成绩夺得冠军，为中国捧得蹦床史上的首枚金牌。随后这位美丽的小姑娘在网上被评为中国最美的奥运冠军之一，而某网站在“谁是北京奥运最美最清纯的美女”的调查中，何雯娜更是以30.3%的支持率力压体坛美女塔季扬娜•列别杰娃，成为中国网民最喜爱的体育明星。
而在这场无与伦比的奥林匹克竞赛中，赛前夺冠呼声最高的蹦床美女黄珊汕却未能进级决赛，留下了一个小小的遗憾。但在此之前，黄珊汕却是中国蹦床上的娇娇者，2004年雅典奥运会，18岁的黄珊汕就为中国蹦床史上捧得首枚奥运奖牌，并在2006年的世界杯德国站、瑞士站都拿到了个人冠军，实力相当了得。
